The Nuggets selected skyline blue, flatirons red, midnight blue, and sunshine yellow as the official colors for their uniforms.
Eventually, the team became Denver Nuggets in 1974. The Nuggets were founded in 1967 as Denver Larks, but before the first season, the team changed its name to Denver Rockets. Some other former home arenas where the team played are Denver Auditorium Arena (1967-1975), Denver Coliseum (1967-1975), and McNichols Sports Arena (1975-1999). The Nuggets play their home games at the Ball Arena. The team competes in the NBA (National Basketball Association) as a Western Conference Northwest Division member.
